Nathan Thomas

Nathan Thomas, CEO, joined the Acer Trust in January 2023 from Academies Enterprise Trust where he had worked as a Regional Education Director overseeing several schools in the South of England, with a national portfolio for sixth form and careers.  Prior to this, he gained extensive leadership experience in numerous schools, including successfully leading three schools as Headteacher and Executive Headteacher. During April and May 2026 Nathan  will be working directly with the leadership team addressing all operational and strategic issues at The Coooper School ahead of Charlotte Broom taking up post of Headteacher of The Cooper School in June 2026.

I am passionate about education and the difference a good school experience can make to young people’s lives. And, from the moment I first stepped into an Acer school and met the students and staff I knew this was a child-centred and collaborative organisation, which shared my values and ethos. I am thrilled to be joining Acer at this hugely exciting time for the Trust and look forward to working together to deliver excellent education for all.
