We take our responsibility for the safety and protection of all the children in our care very seriously. All the schools in the Acer Trust adopt the robust Acer Trust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
Acer Trust schools are accountable to the Local Authority in relation to safeguarding and therefore we base our policy on the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Board model policy. All staff, including the central team, follow The Acer Trust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
The School Governing Bodies are responsible for ensuring that robust safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures are adopted and enacted within our schools, and the School Governing Bodies are, in turn, accountable to the Trust Board. You can find out more about our Governance Structure here.
Each Acer Trust school has a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), who is responsible for leading safeguarding practice in the school. Acer Trust runs a DSL Network, which enables DSLs from all our schools to meet together and share practice, to support the ongoing development of safeguarding across our Trust.
If you have any questions or concerns about safeguarding in one of our schools please, in the first instance, contact the school via the contact details set out in the Acer Trust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. If you wish to contact the Trust directly about a safeguarding matter, please contact the Trust Administrator here.
